Who like freebies???

Over the past month I have been busy in my very small scrap room trying to come up with some instructions on how to create a recipe box for the ladies in my huge family. I have actually came up with 4 different recipe box templates and I am willing to share one of them with everyone. I don't think any house should be without a box. I use mine all over my scrap room to help with some things- pen collector, pictures, stickles, embossing powder, and much much more.... I have one for each of my kids to help collect the small objects or items that they come home with in their pockets. So many uses for them. If you would like me to share some freebie ideas and instructions leave me some comments on what you would do with a recipe box ( does not have to be for recipes only - or maybe share some recipes in a box with friends). I would love to know what you would do with yours.

Polly's Paper Studio

Today was an awesome day, I finally got to see my mom after a few months. Luckily my mom and I have been following Polly's Blog, she had opened a store in Dexter, MI today. My mom and I had found that Polly's in Dexter is right in the middle of us. We decided to meet up there today. All's I can say is "WOW", it is so pretty and I love the layout of her store. She has another store in Pickney, MI.
I am glad I got to meet Ginny today, she was very helpful to us and always asking if we were finding everything, we loved it. I forgot that I did bring my camera with me so I could take pictures, but I was having soooo much fun and I was in love with the store that it did not dawn on me about it till after we had left..... go figure right!!!
Here is the link for her: http://www.pollyspaper.com/
tell her that 3b2j sent ya in to say hi :)   I am sure she will like that.
check out her blog here: http://pollyspaper.wordpress.com/

My middle child loves her because she got to eat a piece of cake for the grand opening..... Ginny even invited us to come out and scrap in the back....... I can't wait to scrap with her and my mom at the same time......   Have fun scrapping!!

Daily Chore Book

About a month ago I was shopping at the local Joann Fabrics store just to browse around and get some ideas of my own for my wedding coming up in October. I cam across a package of book template by Heidi Grace - Mini Book Template Project packet. for $10 and I get 12 templates that was less than $1 per template. I used the template for Album #5 (2 pieces to the template) I traced each one on same color heavy card stock paper. I had cut 6 rectangles in all different colors ( 2 of one color for the title page) that would fit onto the pages. I had cut half circles for the scalloped dividers and on each one in order I did:  Front cover happy face behind that, I put Sunday. 2nd page front I put Monday and behind that Tuesday. I think you get the idea. For each day I had put their chores down for that day. I will show you my youngest's book. They live by these little books everyday.

put the book together and tie a ribbon on the outside- I suggest using a hot glue gun to hold the ribbon together- my kids kept untying it.

Oatmeal

I have a quick recipe that would make microwavable oatmeal ashamed.

homemade is supposed to be healthier for you

I have 3 girls ( refer to them as the 3B's) that will devour a whole pot in less than 30 minutes.

Quaker Oatmeal (the oats container)

water
honey
brown sugar

I use the health heart recipe for the base of the oatmeal. directions are on the canister ( we do not use salt in it)
I use the water and not the milk portion

after you have followed the direction on the canister
I add 1 tbs of brown sugar per serving
then 1-2 tbs of honey per serving
mix it all together in the same pot and serve..... Let me know how much you like it!!! comment below
( wait till I share a pancake recipe- they are my specialty)

:) share with all your friends and family.

enjoy!!!

Coffee Carton by NorthernGirl

Coffee Carton by NorthernGirl
her blog here: http://northerngirlstamper-shannon.blogspot.com/

I do like to make stuff that come out of the page like little projects. I found this little project here: http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/papercrafts/Coffee-Carton-Carrier/3303.
for $2.50 you could make one for any coffee drinkers in your family. I had filled mine up with different flavored coffee grounds and some hot chocolate mix.

Very cute and can also make very elegant Easter gifts for some of those you live.

GLMM 2012 my layout challenge #1

Everything that I had used is from: Rebecca Connor @ TWIN Mom Scraps:  http://twinmomscraps.blogspot.com

I had fun creating this special 12 x 12
All 3 of my girls have different Birthdays in January, July, and August. Because of the economy and January is soooo cold to have an outside party we pick a date in the summer time and celebrate all 3 at the same time. Very cost effective besides buying 3 birthday cakes, but you only have to buy party supplies only 1 time rather than 3 separate times. Last Years theme was Flip Flops and I spent 2 months making them flip flop banners for the each of them. This year I am making Cupcake banners in very bright and vibrant colors.
